Silja Häusermann is a Professor of Political Science and Deputy Director of the UZH Research Priority Program “Equality of Opportunity”. Her research studies the effect of structural and technological change on politics, welfare policies and inequality in Europe. Her research has been published, among others, in the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, World Politics, and the Journal of Politics. In 2024, she has published the books Beyond Social Democracy. The Transformation of the Left in Emerging Knowledge Societies (CUP) and Cleavage Formation in the 21st Century (CUP).
