Herbert Obinger is professor of political science at the Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy (SOCIUM), University of Bremen. He is co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of the Welfare State (Oxford University Press, 2021) and Warfare and Welfare. Military Conflict and Welfare State Development in Western Countries (Oxford University Press, 2018). He has published several books and more than fifty peer-reviewed articles on comparative social policy and political economy.
