Stefano Ronchi is Asst. Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan. He holds a PhD from the Universities of Cologne and Duisburg-Essen, and he was Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. His research interests include comparative welfare state analysis, European social policy, and social inequalities. His works appeared in journals such as West European Politics, Socio-Economic Review, Journal of Social Policy, Journal of European Social Policy, Social Policy & Administration, International Political Science Review, South European Society and Politics. He has published two books: ‘Social Reformism 2.0 Work, Welfare and Progressive Politics in the 21st Century’ (with Maurizio Ferrera and Joan Mirò; Edward Elgar); and ‘Social Policy and EU Polity-building Through Crises and Beyond’ (with Anna Kyriazi, Joan Mirò and Marcello Natili; Routledge).
